To maintain your new tooth position in the long term, we give you two options: the wire retainer and the Retainer Aligner.

The wire retainer (recommended):

After treatment, we will apply a wire retainer to the inner surface of your teeth. The retainer is not visible to others and fixes your new tooth position permanently. The wire retainer comes with a one-time cost of CHF 500 per jaw.

Adolescents under 18 years old should always have their final results secured with a wire retainer.

Retainer Splint:

The transparent Retainer Splints fix your tooth position after the Aligner treatment and, if worn diligently, prevent the teeth from moving back into the old position. Your dentist will tell you when and for how long you should wear the Retainers. In most cases, they should be worn at night for at least 6 months. If properly taken care of, a Retainer Splint will last up to 12 months.
